Mission Viejo, CA

Shirley Teasdale is one of the kindest humans you could meet. Heartbreakingly, she unexpectedly, lost her two sons. Most recently, she lost her son Ron to pancreatic cancer. Scott was going to Ron’s Celebration of Life in Mission Viejo himself, but we made a very last minute decision to all go to love on Shirley. At 9:00am on Sat. we all hopped in the truck and drove West to make it in time for the 1:00pm gathering. It was wonderful to hear the amazing stories about Ron and what love he carried with him. The fact that Shirley is now doing life without her two sons is heartbreaking. We were happy to bring the kids, who both brought smiles to Shirley’s heart.

With Mission Viejo just 20 min. from the beach, we stayed the night to soak in the last of summer the next day. After a ridiculously expensive breakfast at our hotel, we stopped at Baby Beach just south of Dana Point for a couple hours. This protected beach was warm (for the Pacific Ocean) and calm…perfect for little kids!
